My Recent Trip to the Gay Bar

Just a quick recap of last tuesday...
The night started as we went to hong kong which was closed (wtf). We ended up at some other asia town for food. Following this, we conducted what has become the usual: drinking, loud dance music, and the television on mute. After numerous attempts of getting gober to come out with us, we ventured over to say good night in person.

Unable to resist the collective charm of myself, colt, hawkeye and "alex", gober decision to put her work on pause and come. It was at this point that myself, hawkeye and colt partook in our first ever "Japanese Little League World Series". (More or Less indoor wiffleball with sake)

So we eventually made it Woody's to see the Get Physical Tour, which included dj sets by audiofly heidi and M.A.N.D.Y. The night was incredible (see above photo). A very apt description of the evening can be read below, (Taken from the tour blog),

"There’s only one club in the world where clubbers sit down on the dancefloor to pay homage to DJs.

That club is DC10 in Ibiza, but last night in Woody’s in Philadelphia it happened thanks to the Get Physical crew.

The clubbers on the dancefloor just suddenly all started crouching down in the middle of a breakdown during M.A.N.D.Y.’s set and as the beat came back in they all jumped up in the air as one.

For a Tuesday night in America, it was an amazing thing to witness, especially considering it was impromptu and totally spontaneous.

It just happened (there must have been some Circoloco fans in the audience), and that’s the amazing power of electronic music.

There’s communication through dancing, a feeling of unity.

Does that sound like hippy talk?

Perhaps.

But it was damn cool, and so far Philadelphia has been the best date of the Get Physical tour."
